Two additional shows have been added by the Eagles to their “Long Road Out of Eden” tour, which is in-progress. The trek includes stadium dates with Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks. The tour continues on May 9-10 with a stand of two nights in Vancouver. It now includes a June 17 show in Raleigh NC as well as a finale on June 26 in Dallas.

The Eagles, fresh on the heels of announcing a run of North America, have added an additional handful of performances onto their itinerary for the spring. Five performances since last check have been added to the tour. The trek kicks off with the Hollywood Bowl debut for the band over three nights (April 16, April 17 and April 20). New dates that have been added include a Las Vegas concert on April 24, a Seattle date for May 13, and a Portland, OR show on May 17.

A dream tour pairing Fleetwood Mac with the Eagles has reached the stage of a proposal. The idea of a US summer tour featuring the two legendary bands, who over the last decade have been consistent concert draws, is currently being pitched to arena and stadium promoters and operators. The double billing is under consideration for single nights in football and baseball stadiums as well as multiple night arena stands.

Plans have been unveiled by The Eagles for a stand of three nights next April at Hollywood Bowl in Southern California. The engagement will mark The Eagles first time performing in the venue. The three shows are scheduled for April 16, 17 and 20. On December 14, tickets will be be made available to the general public at the box office. Starting on December 7, American Express card holders will have an early chance to buy tickets. All Ticketmaster locations will have tickets available.

A few additional dates have been added by the Eagles for their forthcoming North American trek ahead of their launch next week. Last month, the veteran rockers wrapped up their “Long Road Out of Eden Tour” of 2008. On January 12, they will be back out on the road in Hampton, VA and through the month will have a dozen performances along the East Coast as well as South. Then the itinerary skips to March with another dozen shows taking place mostly in the Midwest as well as Canada.

According to a recent press release, The Eagles are one of the performers that has been recently announced for the CMA’s 42 Annual Awards show which will air live on November 12 from Nashville’s Sommet Center. The Eagles have received their third nomination for CMA’s Vocal Group of the Year. The Eagles will be joining a very eclectic lineup of performers that have been recently announced, including Lady Antebellum, Kid Rock and Trace Adkins.

The Eagles, Coldplay and Alicia Keys led the pack for American Music Award nominations that were announced on October 14 for 2008. Leading the field was Keys with her five nominations. The Eagles and Coldplay were right behind Keys with four each. All of the three top nominees, along with Lil Wayne and Chris Brown, have been nominated for Artist of the Year.

The Eagles recently announced plans for their multi-night engagement this May in Atlanta. Their performance in Indio, CA at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival this year will serve as the stand’s warm up. The festival was originally scheduled to be held on May 3 and 4 but has been expanded to an event of three days. May 2 has been added. The recently added date will be capped off by a headlining set by the Eagles. They follow performances from Rissi Palmer, Glenn Campbell, Shelby Lynne, Trisha Yearwood and John Fogerty.

This spring the Eagles will be breaking in the new amphitheater in Alpharetta, GA to kick off the “Long Road Out of Eden World Tour” US leg. The legendary rockers have scheduled to performed at Verizon Wireless Amphitheater located in Encore Park on May 14. The launch date so far is the only US show to be announced so far.
