Posted by Janice Bryant On February - 22 - 2010

The Eagles, fresh on the heels of announcing a run of North America, have added an additional handful of performances onto their itinerary for the spring.

Five performances since last check have been added to the tour. The trek kicks off with the Hollywood Bowl debut for the band over three nights (April 16, April 17 and April 20). New dates that have been added include a Las Vegas concert on April 24, a Seattle date for May 13, and a Portland, OR show on May 17.

On March 1 tickets for a majority of the newly added dates will be going on sale via Ticketmaster.

With the forthcoming shows the Eagles continue to support “Long Road Out of Eden,” their album released in 2007. It was the first new studio set for the band since “The Long Run” was released in 1979. The album debuted on Billboard’s 200 chart at No. 1 after selling 711,000 copies during its first week out. According to data from Nielsen SoundScan the set became the top selling album in 2007 by a group.

In addition “Long Road Out of Eden won two Grammy awards. In 2008 for the song “How Long” The Eagles won Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals and in 2009 for “I Dreamed There Was No War” won Best Pop Instrumental Performance.
