The Eagles recently announced plans for their multi-night engagement this May in Atlanta. Their performance in Indio, CA at the Stagecoach Country Music Festival this year will serve as the stand’s warm up.
The festival was originally scheduled to be held on May 3 and 4 but has been expanded to an event of three days. May 2 has been added. The recently added date will be capped off by a headlining set by the Eagles. They follow performances from Rissi Palmer, Glenn Campbell, Shelby Lynne, Trisha Yearwood and John Fogerty.
The Empire Polo Grounds will be the setting for the festival and will also be featuring performances from Big & Rich, Carrie Underwood, The Judds, Tim McGraw and Rascal Flatts among other performers. According to festival organizers, over 50 acts will span across several different musical genres, including alt-country, roots rock, folk, bluegrass and mainstream country, performing over the three day weekend on four stages. Ticket information and other details can be found on the website for the festival.
The appearance at Stagecoach by the Eagles precedes their engagement that was previously announced for the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater in Alpharetta, GA. There will four shows in total on May 14, 16, 17, 20. Tickets are currently on sale.
It is expected that fans will be able to hear the band performing Eagles classic hits pulled from their 30 year long career in addition to material from “Long Road Out of Eden,” their latest album. The set was released last November and marks the first new studio album in 28 years for the band.
The first single, “How Long” from their album “Long Road Out of Eden” earned the band a Grammy Award. The track was awarded Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group.
